About our Shero: Malala Yousafzai is an activist, education advocate, scholar, and Nobel Peace Prize winner. At the age of 10 she began speaking out against the Taliban, after the group began to control the Swat Valley and banned girls from attending school. For years she advocated for education and was even shot by the Taliban, when she was 15, due to her relentless activism. She miraculously survived, preserved, told her story, and created the Malala Foundation to empower girls to achieve their potential, and become confident leaders in their own countries.

“Malala with jasmine” features the inspiring advocate for women’s education, Malala Yousafzai, surrounded by jasmine, which is the national flower of her native Pakistan. Visit Malala’s fund here to find out more about her efforts to help all girls have access to education and to donate to her brave and amazing work. The pre-printed, full-color background features an art-nouveau-inspired floral design. Completing the painting can take between 3-5 hours. When completed, select a frame at your local craft store and display! Recommended for ages 13 and up.
